Over the weekend I received several interesting replies about the message I sent out about the aggressive and innovative carwash owner in my area. I hope you enjoyed this message and understood its underlying theme. That being, any business owner will benefit greatly from keeping their eyes open and seeing what new ideas they can implement and apply to their business - no matter what type of business the idea came from. But one reply I got on this message was different - very different.

Yesterday I spent most of the day returning messages left for me over the weekend. In the afternoon I had a conversation with one of my clients and I feel you may benefit by telling you what we discussed. That's because, during this busy season he's been driving his employees nuts. While in the office this week I gave a rather lengthy radio interview on a nationally syndicated show about my book Pawnonomics http://pawnonomics.com/ and even though I've given dozens of these interviews since the book came out earlier this year, this one was different. That being - sitting in my father-in-law's den, talking business with him. It truly is a remarkable experience. I think you may enjoy my sharing a small portion of the conversations we had. That's because when my father-in-law speaks it makes me want to take notes. I do.

This morning I had the opportunity to speak with a long time friend of mine. This gent has known me for many years and our friendship goes well beyond being mere acquaintances. He asked me what I was doing and I told him I had just finished a book along with a cup of coffee. When he asked what I was reading - and I told him - he just groaned.
